Riding in the southeast of Singapore is quite varied. It has the longest (nearly) uninterrupted stretch of bicycle trail in all of Singapore. Indeed, you can ride from Tanjong Rhu to Changi Village, approximately 30km, and cross almost no roads! (There is a crossing up at the Changi Ferry Terminal where you’d need to stop for trucks.) This fact makes it a great place for beginner cyclists to gain some independence and confidence.
If you’re more interested in quirky points of interest, history, jigs and jogs, little-known backstreets, you can find it here as well. This is the region to explore with wild abandon, to be curious and to turn down that street or alley that looks interesting. It’s the ideal area where you won’t be afraid to get “lost.” You’ll never be too far from a trail that can bring you back to somewhere you know. Now go!
