Ride#10: Botanic Gardens, Bukit Brown Cemetery, Bishan Park, and Kallang River
Difficulty Level: Strenuous, because it is long and has lots of turns and crossings, with a little bit of off-road trail.
Route Start/End: Botanic Gardens, but it is a loop, so wherever you’d like to jump on. Instructions begin at the NE corner of Botanic Gardens, at the corner of Kheam Hock Rd and Bukit Timah Rd.
Route Length: 26km +/-
Terrain: Mostly flat with a few ups and downs. A bit rugged between Bukit Brown cemetery to the National Equestrian Centre, a dirt trail for about 450 metres – not for road bikes and narrow tires on that portion. Otherwise, it is all streets, sidewalks and PCNs.
Route Comments: The instructions for this ride begin at the NE corner of the Botanic Gardens, at the intersection of Bukit Timah Rd and Kheam Hock Rd. This ride covers a lot of ground, from quiet streets, to the historic Bukit Brown cemetery, natural parks, river-side PCNs and urban downtown busy streets. There are lots of opportunities to see otters, dragon boating and to visit some ancesters!
Caution: This route follows a fair number of streets without sidewalks, busy sidewalks and busy PCNs. Please alert fellow pedestrians and cyclist to your presence by ringing your bell.

We just did this ride with our 9 and 12 year old this past weekend and LOVED it! After being in lockdown for so many months – it was nice to be exploring and discovering new parts of Singapore we had never been too. Also – the wetlands and your details about the new parts of the PCN made us appreciate what we were seeing while we were riding around! Thank you!
